Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama

Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama (KJU) is a Muslim religious grouping in Kerala. It was the earliest of the three early Ulama (Religious Scholars) organisation in Kerala, formed in the year of 1924 in a meeting held at Alwaye under the leadership of K.M. Moulavi, M.C.C. Abdu Rahman Moulavi and E.K. Moulavi.〔U. Kerala Jamiathul Ulama was formed in 1924 under the leadership of scholars like K.M. Moulavi, K.M. Jamaluddin Moulavi, MCC Abdurahiman Moulavi and others, who held progressive views. The Orthodox section grouped themselves under the banner of 'Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama' in 1926. This was under the leadership of Scholars like Sayyid Abdurahiman Mulla Koya Thangal, A.P. Aboobacker Moulavi, K.K. Muhammed Abdul Bari, P.K. Mohammed Miran and others, who held conservative views in religious matters. It guides the Muslim Community in Kerala through the light of quran and sunnah shareef in accordance with Salafi Manhaj (The path of the Salafu Salih). It tries to eradicated superstitious belief and deeds prevailed among the Muslim Community in Kerala, and alert them against Shirk and Bidaa.
